12/11/2023 0 Comments Trip advisor paros forum![]() Would it be better to go from Plaka to Athens airport and fly to Paros? I know the flight is much quicker but with travel back to the airport, check in, baggage claim (i'll be taking a case), etc. So the idea of spending 4 hours on the ferry is saddening. ![]() However I want to maximise beach time, as I don't have many days in Greece. I travel well so not worried about comfort or sickness. ![]() As it stands, my plan is to get the 7.25am Bluestar ferry.īefore I leave Athens, I will be staying at the North end of Plaka so will need to figure out my route from there to Piraeus port too (at the moment I assume either taxi or the metro). I am travelling from Piraeus ( Athens) to Paros on Thurs 25th May. Sorry to piggyback onto your thread but it seemed (nearly) relevant to a question I have. I should probably add that I have other health conditions that makes my travel sickness a lot worse than normal. Is there an island in between I can use to break up the ferry ride? (I have tried to research but haven't found anything). Is the ferry big and smooth or can it be a bit rocky? Is the plane small or is it a decent size? So I am trying to work out which would be the best option.ĭoes anyone have any experience with the flight or ferry to Paros? However, not normally quite as bad as this boat experience. However, I do also get motion sick on planes (lucky me). Now I also saw that there is a 45 minute flight to Paros. I knew that I got sea sick but I haven't been on a boat/ferry in so many years that I had forgotten how bad it was. However, I just went on a 30 minute ferry yesterday for the first time in years and was EXTREMELY sick (vomiting, shaking, had to lie in the fetal position for hours after). Originally I was going to take the fastest ferry (around 3 hours) to Paros. I am travelling from Athens to Paros in June 2023.
